Wheelling is increasing enormously in popularity as a leisure activity. So is betting on cycling. This is due to the many races that start in the Netherlands and because ‘we’ have recently started to really compete for prizes again. There are some 850,000 Dutch people who get on their bikes themselves, but the number of enthusiasts is many times higher. The average age of cyclists in the Netherlands is 46.
